Case Study

stansted

Bishop Stortford to Stansted Airport

This project consisted of the installations of 2 x 33kV electrical cables and 2 x pilot cables through a ducted system.  The route length was approximately 15km through a mixture of both agricultural land and highways.

A directional drill method was used to cross the M11 into Stansted Airport Land.

Due to the location of the project UIP encountered areas of specific interest such as archaeology and ecology which meant close liason and communications with these professional bodies.
